No Cover Mondays
Dear Citizens,
Mondays can be pretty awesome sometimes.
The Heady Ideas are a whirlwind of young ladies who organized a forum called, “Alberta and Kyoto like Oil and Water?” to discuss environmental issues global and local. The forum specifically covered Alberta's role in protecting the environment. Subjects such as wind as a resource were extensively discussed. Moderated by CJSW's Chad Saunders, with a panel of four experts on Kyoto initiatives. The event was broadcast live on CJSW to an audience beyond the BCSC walls. The attentive attendees were very cooperative of sharing booths and tables. Broken City is proud to have participated in this socially significant event. Go Heady Ideas, go and change that world into a better place!!
Later, there was a full house to receive Erin Ross and her band.
They played 2 sets of 40 minutes of top drawer country blues tunes.
They employ my flavourite telecaster plus lapsteel combo.
Easy going drum and bass. Sweet girly vocals. It sure went down easy.
Every Monday, Broken City presents a No Cover show of world-class musicianship.
No Cover Mondays start early, so you can rock out and still get up to go to work on Tuesday.
DJ PJ and Dan spin classic rock tunes on into the night.
Also, Andrew WK and DJ Glenn Alderson was a huge New York Dance/Karaoke party.
A positively positive experience. Special thanks to Kenna Burima who hooked us up with Chris Neville who lent Andrew WK his own 88 key keyboard for the show on very short notice. Thanks Chris Neville and your mom for teaching you how to share.
Please have a beautiful day in the City.
